King Kamayera is an Off-Broadway poet with Malian roots, born and raised in the Bronx. Known for his raw, soul-baring performances and commanding stage presence, he has captivated audiences nationwide with his debut chapbook Love Chronicles: Vol. 1 and his acclaimed spoken word album Blackberry Molasses, which has been submitted for Grammy consideration. As the originator of the viral #BeenWritingThesePoems challenge, Kamayera has emerged as a voice of truth and transformation in contemporary poetry. His work blends rhythm, vulnerability, and cultural depth, continually pushing the boundaries of what poetry can sound like.

Beyond the stage, Kamayera is a committed mental health advocate, activist, and avid reader. He leads transformative workshops on men’s mental health, creating brave spaces for dialogue, healing, and growth in communities that need them most. He is also the co-host of 2Muchand Extra, a monthly open mic that uplifts diverse voices and fosters community through art. His work—both on stage and in the community—is rooted in liberation, love, and the belief in words as a bridge where silence once stood.

Sumbodies Mama  is a Bronx-born powerhouse in poetry and performance. As the 2024 Nuyorican Grand Slam champion and ranking 2nd place at the Women of the World Poetry Slam, she’s a force to be reckoned with. Sumbodies Mama is not just a name; she’s a movement that resonates with many.
